This article explains, in language accessible to laypeople and plastic surgeons, the Adams and Deva 14-Point Plan, which reduces capsular contracture, infection, and the risk of BIA-ALCL. With special emphasis on point 9, we show how to minimize skin contamination during implant insertion and the role of the hydrocone insertion funnel as an effective barrier between the skin and the implant.
